Our mission is simple: to bring back the authentic drag racing of the 1960s and put on a show the whole family will love. The 1960s produced some of the most exciting times in drag racing history, and we're doing everything we can to preserve that era, both on and off the track. Authenticity and Integrity – It’s in Our DNA

The Southeast Gassers Association takes pride in upholding the integrity of 1960s-style drag racing. Our cars, our rules, and our events are strictly period-correct, and we don’t compromise on what makes gassers great. We maintain a firm stance on not allowing modern parts or modifications that stray from the 1960s era. The cars you see at a SEGA event are as close as possible to what you would have seen on the track in the 60s—complete with wheels-up launches, four-speed gear-banging, and a genuine throwback to the era of muscle.

Strict adherence to 1960s gasser rules.
No modern parts infiltrating our cars.
Period-correct vehicles only in our pits.
Family-friendly environment at every event.

Race with Us!

We Race Hard, But We Race Safe

At SEGA, safety is paramount. We have clear rules in place to ensure that every event runs smoothly and safely, from no kids driving golf carts to ensuring that all generators are safely placed. We also emphasize respect—for the track, for the fans, and for each other. We’re here to keep the fun alive, but we won’t tolerate bad conduct or unsafe practices.

List of Important Rules:

Must have a valid driver’s license to operate vehicles at SEGA events.
Generators must be placed safely and away from crowds.
Bad conduct on or off the track can result in disqualification.
Only SEGA-legal cars in the pits at SEGA events.

Founded by Quain Stott, the 2006 IHRA ProMod Champion, the Southeast Gassers Association has been built on a foundation of passion, dedication, and a commitment to authenticity. Quain’s vision was simple: bring back the 1960s drag racing experience and create an environment that respects the history while embracing the future. His strict adherence to period-correct rules has helped SEGA stand out as a true representation of what 60s-style racing should be.
