Another Example of What SEGA is All About

18/07/2019

As most know the pride of the Southeast Gassers Association is the fact that about 85% of the cars in the group are home built and driver tuned. We can now add another one to the list since the 4 year project ofGordon Rundle III is finished. Gordon 43 years old from speedway Indiana started work on the 1966 Barracuda when he seen an SEGA build thread on the HAMB.
After researching the SEGA rules he found that the SEGA actually raced the cars first to the finish line wins and classified them by weight to cubic inch like it was done in the 1960's.

WELCOME ANOTHER PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT THE SEGA IS ALL ABOUT
Gordon Rundle III

PLEASE WELCOME Gordon to the SEGA family and see the car in person for the first time July 27th at Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons Indiana where the SEGA will make it's 6th stop on the tour.
The fact that the SEGA only allows manual transmissions got his attention also. Then he done his research to be sure the strict rules were unforced so his efforts in building to the rules wouldn't be in vain. The project took 4 years because Gordon did everything himself. He built the chassis, the tin work, built the small block mopar engine, even painted it at home. Gordon will give credit to Litl Bill for the old school hand painted lettering but other than that Gordon's hands have touched every nut, bolt and rivet on the car.

WELCOME ANOTHER NEW SEGA MEMBER FROM TEXAS
39 year old Henry McDougall is making the long haul from San Antonio Texas to Knoxville Dragstrip September 28th to compete with the Southeast Gassers Association. Henry has been match racing with the SEGA Texas Style but wants to make the trip to support the SEGA up this way.
Henry an accountant by trade didn't go out and buy an already built car he bought a basket case 55 Chevy and with the help of a lot of friends he now has the masterpiece pictured.
Henry is a 2nd generation racer who grew up racing with his dad so the bug bit him at an early age. He says a lot of his knowledge also comes from Wayne Nunn, David Bixler, Charlie Thrash, and long time racer Tommy Kendrick who he wishes could see what he is doing today. Tommy passed away in 2016.
Henry will be the first to tell you this would not be possible if not for his friends John Bena, Drew Hoffman, brother Todd McDougall, Wayne Nunn, Jacob Bixler, Brandon and Tommy Eure. Henry also thanks his loving wife and BUG Jennifer McDougall for her support.

Make plans to see Henry in action September 28th at Knoxville Dragstrip along with 85 other SEGA legal 1960's style race cars.
