OUR MISSION IS
TO BRING BACK THE
FROM THE 1960’S
AND TO PUT ON A SHOW THE WHOLE FAMILY WILL LOVE
LOOKING BACK 8 YEARS AGO TO THE MOST REWARDING PROJECT I EVER DID
After well over a year of begging, Bruce Dehaven and I talked
and his family into letting me restore his old race car that had been striped and setting since 1972. Parts were missing or in need of major repair. At the start I didn't think it would mean anything to anyone but me. But as the project went on I found out Gene was remembered by many. It was over 640 hours before it was in any shape to go
back home to Gene and be readied for paint. Once I got the car back to Cromers shop it was disassembled and sent to
for paint and body work. Once Harper did his magic applying the original blue color paint it was back to Gene's shop for final assembly. It was really cool at this point to see Gene's friends and family get involved and make final assembly a community effort. During all of this Gene Cromer and
was building an engine for it.There was no way to thank everybody that was involved and donated parts but a special thanks went out to Dennis and
f or interior and glass, Chris Harper for really long hours doing paint and body, David Boles wiring and many other projects.
MANY THANKS TO THE CROMER FAMILY FOR GIVING ME THIS OPPORTUNITY MANY YEARS AGO, I'LL NEVER FORGET. -Quain Stott
