Good stuff here from one of our biggest fans, George Gantt.
Whiskey Road Magazine
by George Gantt
This page has followers all across the country and across the ocean too.
For those who dont recognize this man his name is Quain S
tott. He is president of The Southeast gassers association. (SEGA).
This photo says a lot.
This is what it means to me.
A few years ago Doug handed me my first SEGA media pass. The urge to do the happy dance at that moment was strong but somehow I suppressed it. That was the day I realized I was finally getting my chance to do something cool.
My photography habit started at a very young age. You see I had severe medical issues when i was a baby and up through my young life I spent a lot of time at doctors. I just happen to pick up a photography magazine in the waiting room one day and realized I wanted to do that.
The medical issues caused me to be a little behind everyone else my age and even the school was against me taking Graphic arts class . My parents and the doctors fought for me and I got in........
The Southeast Gassers had given me open range at a race and Quain told me " Have a good time." since then I have been allowed to put the SEGA logo along with mine on images I take at at the few races I get to attend during the season.
I go into the race track now and people know my name. I get hugs and hand shakes and compliments on my photos.
Without Quain and his vision to create a period correct gasser organization This wouldnt have happened.
This goes to show how one mans dream can overlap another mans dream.
Thank you Quain Stott.
