SEGA VIP GUESTS FOR SHADY SIDE 11-2

My Explanation of Southeast Gassers ~Tim Ellison

A few years ago, Marthan and I had the chance to experience our first museum on wheels / time machine ride of Southeast Gassers in Knoxville, Tennessee.

I must come clean and tell you, my life has not been the same since. This drag racing organization took me back in time when things were much simpler.....its like you go back to 1967 when cars were cool and men were men ! All the cars are American and era correct for that time period. Heck, even the girls that help back the cars up are dressed era correct !
My buddy Jimmy happen to win A Gas that night ,and made my sting even worse. I was hooked ( Ask Marthan ).

As only God could put together through extreme circumstances, Quain Stottthe owner of the company and myself became very close friends. It has been one of the biggest blessings of my life.

Through that friendship I have got to witness first hand some of the most genuine folks I have ever came in contact with. Motorsports now has become in some cases not fit for the family and a cut throat business. That for sure is not the case with SEG. When I say its just like family, I mean that's the case. Everybody eats together, kids play together, and when one of the 80 to 90 cars at any given time break down......it's all hands on deck. I'm telling you IT'S Real !

Since that time, I have become the Chaplin and get to attend and help promote several races a year when needed.
Another fine example of SEG is at our next race in Shelby, NC on Saturday Nov.2nd 2019 at Shadyside Dragway.

20 kids from Cherokee Children's Home in Gaffney, SC will be our VIP guests. This experience will be a totally free outreach, and I am sure the drivers and crew will spoil them in every way. I don't know about you, but in a time when things sometimes seem dark all around us , its refreshing to go back and experience nostalgia and a wholesome atmosphere of days gone by. That is what Southeast Gassers is to me !
